I've recently enrolled in an equine sports massage therapy class, and was wondering if anyone here ia already a therapist. I am a human massage therapist already, and am looking forward to expanding my practice to horses.

Barngirl, I am a certified, insured equine masseuse......equinemassagepalmsprings. I love it! I have yet to see an owner/horse that have not seen the benefits. The issue I find is finding horse owners open to the idea. Roughly 60% of people don't have massages unless in physical therapy. So, take the other 40% and how many have horses plus money for massage. Well, it can be a wee bit of a challenge. Best to you in your endeavors, Quelyn

I'm a massage therapist as well and have taken equine massage. it is very rewarding, however i found it hard to go between barns and equine clients... so i focussed on people because they come to me. But, I am working on getting back into the equines!!

Hi Barngirl2000. I'm studying equine myofunctional therapy here in Australia. I just love getting my hands on a horse and getting a nice response. You will find it very rewarding (much better than humans).
