I'm in Fairfield County-my horses are in fairfeild. we do the paces in Westchester County NY. There are a few different pace series going on simultaneously. We pace Sept & Oct, there are some in the spring & summer but these are more like "real" hunts & too much for us. I have heard of some up your way-perhaps you could place an ad for a pace partner & they can pick you up too-we do that a lot here. Good luck! If I hear of anything up that way I'll let you know.

Hi, thanks for writing. I live in Guilford, where abouts are you located? And yes, I would love to try a hunter pace, that is if my mare (TB) is willing, she's a little high strung and has some separation issues. If you know of any coming up in the area though, let me know. The only problem is I don't have any transportation available yet for her. Hopefully that will change sometime in the near future. I'm not a Gold Member either, anymore, by the way.

Hi there! I'm new to this site, not a gold memeber (hate the idea of having to pay to make friends!;) ) I'm on the shoreline in Ct too but closer to NYC. Spend a lot of my fall wknds pacing-if you want to try it just do it, it's the most fun you'll have on a horse in the woods!

I do have a thoroughbred mare though and like to ride H/J and trail ride. I would like to try a hunter pace sometime or eventing. What kind of riding do you do? horses do you have?
