Life is really great but I still want a partner
169 Views          08/10/07
Well, I picked up a new horse a couple weeks ago. It is a three year old Appaloosa mare and she is perfect for almost anyone to ride. She had not been handled much and never ridden or even saddled but a few turns in the round pen and then I put 11 rides on her and even gave a lesson on her three weeks ago and the lady had a ball too. She rode her for almost three hours all over the ranch and did not have a single problem. I still want a lady to ride with. it is a lousy hing toi see a clutch of baby bunnies or a new foal or Fawn and look around and there is no one to share that scene with. Come on ladies. You will never have a better chance at the life you have always wanted to live then right now.

WELL, TODAY I HIT ROCK BOTTOM. AFTER I LEFT THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE MEETING I ATTEND AS A MEMBER I RENTED A CARPET SHAMPOOER AND BROUGHT IT HOME AND I JUST FINISHED SHAMPOOING MY CARPET. AS CLOSE AS I GOT TO MY HORSES IS TO FEED THEM. LUCKY HORSES. THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO CLEAN THE CARPET. I STILL NEED A LADY AT LEAST TO RUB MY SHOULDERS WHEN I AM DONE WITH THE SHAMPOOER. ANY 0NE INTERESTED?

While out moving some cattle the other day I ran across these 10 mustangs and they were all lined out for who knows where but I got this shot of them and it is now on my desktop. My only regret was that there was no one to share the beauty with. Help. I am still looking for a wife. Any one interested? Yet?

What a great and glorious day here in N.W. Nevada

I went for a ride this morning and saw a herd of 300 or so Pronghorn Antelope. Quite a few deer too. Saw five Mule deer right behind the cabin by the spring that supplies the cabin.
The guests that came on Friday left and I got the cabin cleaned and ready for the next rental. Got all that done so I saddled up and rode out again. I sure wish there was a lady who wanted to go riding with this ugly old guy.

MADE IT THROUGH THE WEEK
85 Views          06/03/06
I had all of my absentee owners here with their kids and dogs. 17 people and 9 dogs here last week and two paying guests here for the weekend. Monday I am going to rest and take a deep breath. I am also going to get back to answering all of my e-mails and getting my leather orders out. I got the window in the General store. The woodshop teacher who built the hole for it needed to measure twice and cut once. Instead the window was 6 inches bigger than the hole. It fits now though.
It was a very beautiful sunrise that My REAL Boss, GOD, gave me to look at this morning. I think He wants me to be happy and all He needs to do now is send me a lady. Anyone interested?

OH WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MORNING.
66 Views          05/27/06
When I went to bed last night it was clear skies a little after midnight when I came down from Starry Point where I had gone to watch the stars. This morning when I woke there was 6 inches of snow on the grass. That is one awesome GOD we have that can take something beautiful and improve on it. These are the things that make me want a partner to share the beauty with even more.

It is going to be one crazy weekend. I have all 6 of my absentee owners coming and two of them have never met me or seen the cabin I built or any of the other improvements that I have made. Right now I wish there were two of us. But I have decided that if I was not enjoying the day I was wasting it. so. I hope you all have a fantastic weekend.

SUCH A BEAUTIFUL DAY TODAY
57 Views          05/18/06
Spent the day riding fence and saw lots Deer, one Bobcat in a tree, Cougar tracks, about 40 Pronghorn Antelope, Hawks in abundance and three Bald Eagles that tend to stay near here every day. Got back around 2 pm and then about 2:30 it started raining and even bunches of thunder boomers. Sat on the front porch of the cabin and had a cup of coffee and watched the lightening strikes in the valley. sure wish I had someone to share the day with. All of my days for that matter.

April 17,2006 dawned with new snow to see.

It was a beautiful day today and yesterday was great too. Went up to Starry Point and had my own sunrise service for Easter and then it started snowing. Stopped about 6 pm and had left about a foot of new snow. Watched two Eagles in their acrobatical mating routine and on the 14th the swallows returned swooping aacross the stock pond in mass with about 250 of them. Spent last week building two boardwalks in the new town site onto the General store and tomorrow will be moving 300 head of Texas Longhorns about 30 miles to their summer range. All in All it is still awesome here in Long Valley. Sure wish there was someone to share it with. Doc

just one more normal day in paradise

the snow was falling and the wind was blowing and it was cold and I had a ball taking two horses on a 60 mile two day cattle drive. It was run by 5 ladies ranging in age from 81 -13 and they had almost as much fun as I did. I sure wish I had my own lady to go on these with me. There are three more coming up in Late April and May. Any ladies interested in going along with me. Doc

Hello World. The day here dawned Beaautiful and it willbe for a couple more days and then it will get more beautifuller with the addition of snow on both Wednesday and Friday. It looks so doggone clean and pristine here when there is snow on the ground. I sometimes will take a sleeping bag up to Starry Point or up to the rim rock at 6984 feet above sea level and just lay and look at the stars.

It is a very beautiful day here in the country. the horses were frisky and were jockying for position to go out on my morning rounds. Normally it takes me about 4-4 1/2 hours to make my rounds but today I needed to be back by 2:30 pm to untack, brush and get the game on t.v. Almost said the heck with the game. If I had had a lady riding with me I would still be riding.

Sure wish there was a lady who wanted to come and go riding with me.

spent 14 hours yesterday riding a snowmobile and bringing down two left over strays from the rim rock to the barn. The snow was too deep for a horse to go through as it was 2' on the level and 3-5 feet in the pockets and drifts. Saw a mountain lion and numerous deer and wish I had had some help. It was a beautiful day though and there was an awesome sunrise and the sunset was nothing to shake a stick at but that is normal here in paradise.

Just went to my Freezer in the Ice House and there was the Blue Berry pie I made and I almost got it out and ate it but not yet. Baking a Chocolate Cake today. Chocolate frosting too. You don't have to go back and check. Yes I am a male.

It has been snowing everyday and Saturday was no exception. When I wake in the morning and look out the window by my bed it is still one of God' greatest creations. Everything looks soooo beautiful and pristine. Rabbits running to the feed I put out for them. Saw a Bobcat this morning and although they are primarily nocturnal I see them quite often here. I have truly found my dream home.
