Yesterday my dog's face was all swollen up like a balloon and on the tip of his nose was two scratches that looked like a snake's bite marks that morning he was fine and like in 30 minutes he was so sore and pathertic looking he nearly gave me a heart attack I thought he had been bit by a rattler it would have been late in the year since the freeze came early but i've seen stranger things happen so i called the vet and drove like a maniac with my caution lights flashing it got to were his breathing got raspy and his eyes were swollen shut by the time I got to the vets at times driving 75 in a 35 mile an hour zone I was really panicking...2 hrs later after a steriod shot and a benedryl pill later and an 80 dollar vet bill later my baby was fine it turns out he is severely allergic to caterpillars which he happened to eat that morning!

Wow that is Funny, but wait till you here this one our basenji Cooper figured out that he can take food off the counter if he stands on his hind paws and inches the plate with his teeth. suffice it to say he got a whole roast that is just as big as him for supper one night, their antics don't stop there though they are constantly finding new ways to entertain themselves and get into trouble. the newest being opening doors arounf the house.

I had the same problem with my Dogs over the years when Bee's would sting them. Their faces would blow up like a beach ball. Seems Benedryl is one of the only cures all for those problems. Unfortunately, we all have to learn the hard way and pay for an expensive Vet. But, better safe than sorry and loosing your loved Dog. Found some really good discounts on Dog and pet supplies

My the super brain boxer has found a new and improved way to drive me nuts. Its still freezing and snowing on occasion up here so instead of breaking ice i decided to splurg and install a underwater tank heater it keeps the fish alive and the water unfrozen. But on the downside its not okay for it to be in my dog's backyard granted it is his personal space so i have been trying to help him to resist the temptation of the evil extension cord floating over his dog house by rerouting it. He has since started barking at it jumping up at it with no sucess so he has devised a clever way to climb the deck and pull it out of socket.stay tuned for the next update in this on going saga lol
