Welcome Steve....sorry, but I'm clueless for a nickname. Only thing I can come up with is Saint (St.)...any suggestions guys? Glad you're around..Don't worry about Star, she's just a rabble rouser!  Keeps things interesting.

LOL! SSh*t. That is sooooo funny. Annie, you are getting pretty good at making up new names for people.

Personally, I think that all horse people, men or women, have a different journey to travel in finding someone special to share their lives with. People that are around animals are much more in touch with themselves as to what they want in their lives, what they are willing to settle for, than many of those who are around them. Our animals give us so much unconditional love that we expect it from everyone.

Raspberry Smirnoff sounds pretty tasty...might have to check into that one and bring it to the Blog Party.

OH, Looky Look. Another man is brave enough to enter into blogland.

Welcome to the funny farm, Steve!

I can see you will fit right into this group of horse people. Another gaited horse fan, plus you are funny.

Not sure if men or women or complicated. We are going to need to take a vote on that one.

I like it Annie!  SSH*T would work for me!  Hope everyone is doin well?  I will have to find some snazzy photo to send to Woody...  I so love reading the intro to this blog!  Reminds me that there are other women out there that feel the same as I do on this man thing journey.  Although, I did get called a "Manhater" not so long ago LOL!  Guess I should keep my complicated thoughts to myself.  What's the topic for the night?  Should I settle in with a Raspberry Smirnoff?

Welcome to the funny farm, equiton. I am sure that someone here will also give you a new nickname. hehe

And by the way, there are men out there who do like powerful, independent women. This search might take a little more time, but...we are only in a hurry when the moon turns full. Or something like that. Are any of us really in a hurry? Maybe not. But we do dream of having someone else that we can share our life with that is not an animal....

In the meantime, this is a late holiday gift for you. We have been sharing him, but now are passing him on to you....

hehe. Woody. Time to fess up. Tell us more. I bet you would like to have a good woman spoil and pamper you and your horse.

You never know what might come swimming out of this pool, and since you like to fish...

Here is one for you.

Oh, and how come you get all those pretty colors and fonts... Dang it. I still do not have them.

In my dating experience a number of men are afraid of independent women. And the rest are afraid of property owning women. I have a 75 acre horse farm, do men think that is great, no just scarry (i think they believe women only get property¿through divorce, but I had mine before I got married). So, I am with Star, my horses keep me more than happy and busy. But yet here I am still hoping to run across a man who is an exception to the rule...

Welcome sshtwhowner,

Nice to have another gaiter in the circus. ¿Definetly have to shorten that name. How about show?¿

I agree about the looks Star.¿ A kind heart is at the top of my must have list.¿ He doesn't have to be perfect.¿ I like a little bit of a challenge.

¿

I found my pretty colors

SSHTWHowner, Good to see you here! Funny thing about us horse people. We do tend to be a little independent. We are fortunate as we can find unconditional love with the animals in our lives. Which does keep us from feeling as lonely as those people who do not have animals...

I have found that it has been difficult for me to allow myself the opportunity to be in love with a human as a result. Yet, somewhere in the back of my heart and soul, I feel that all this time with the animals has been preparing me...

May all our dreams of happiness and love come true.

We may look like this to you Woody, (I know you are kidding, but just had to share this photo)

But as you can see in this photo. We get along just fine...I also notice that half of this group is really men...check out the shoes.

Now, maybe you could tell us what women mean to you? If we changed some of the phrases in this blog, could you see yourself saying this to the woman you have been waiting for?

I agree fourbeat. All we needs is lots and lots of patience...Oh, wait. We are horse people so we already have that!

As to the loving horses thing. As long as he lets me have my love for horses...I do not mind if he cares for them or not.

And also, I really do not care if he looks like this cowboy....

I agree with 4beat on not settling.¿ I'd rather be with¿a man I¿truly enjoy rather than having a man just for the sake of having one around.. Even though things like getting light bulbs changed and selecting a car battery is easier with one handy lol!¿ I¿kinda dig not having to shave my legs if I don't feel like it or not combing my hair on a Saturday morning and staying in my nightgown til noon as long as my girls and pets love me I'm happy.¿

LOL! Annie, I have not been married for the past 30 years. In fact, I have been so focused on my career that I have not even had a relationship for over a decade. Now I have decided that there is more to life than my work...

Still, I am in no hurry. I would rather be alone than settle. What is that horse buying theory? Try 50 horses before you buy one?

How about you? Are you willing to wait for the one who is more than you can imagine?
