    There's a horse(jumper) I'm thinking of buying......ultra sound records show the healing question he more susceptible to reinjury

    It depends on how intense you start him on jumping again. Some horses never fully recover and always develop cold splints or osselots. Hopefully he won't be one of those unlucky candidates. One of the best methods for keeping horses legs from over heating is hosing them down after a workout, or standing them in ice-buckets. Hope that helps.
