yes, do not be shy, we need to tell others who and what we believe, so that we can be joined together in fellowship, they will not know if we do not tell them. Jesus says, "If you lift up my name I will draw man unto me" He is the one who does it, not us, it is our job to open our mouths and speak the name of Jesus!
I've just joined and it's nice to see christians on here! I love Jesus and I love my horse and I love that he gave me this love of horses which means I spend all day outside with such amazing creatures in his glorious world he created :)
I'm not in any religion, I'm in a relationship with the one True Lord.
I think its great to see other Christains on here.
but sad to see that it was about two years ago sence someone has posted on this fourm.
I'm not lucky I'm blessed to be alive and living for God.
(and own the best horse I have ever met!)
dave337 write: Following yesterdays bombings in London we again see the ugly side of religion. From the Medievil Christian Crusades to the sectarian violence that has brought so much trouble to Ireland... The Victorian explorers that impossed their beliefs on the 'Savages' whose lands they conquered to the fanatical fundamentalists who now blow up the innocent throughout the world.. Religion has been the biggest cause of wars and death in our world.
No, it's not religion itself that causes wars, it's people using religion as a convenient front for their greed. The Crusades were about expanding money and expanding territory and trade routes.. sort of like what's going on in the world right now!
I agree that it is sad that the church, as a political entity, came between the rich personal relationships that humans already had with god. By taking that personal relationship away and replacing it with church doctrine it certainly did ensure that people would be desperate enough to go on crusades etc. in order to misdirectedly try and regain what they felt they had lost.
Reading the history of the mindless persecution of the Cathars was one of the things that made me realize that god is up close and personal. Not distanced by doctrine.
I personally love god and believe that he/she is present everywhere in the world and is at the root of all religions. Once you sweep away the trappings you usually find love at the core. :)
The smile of deception, I can see it in their eyes.
The words they speak they?ve heard before, but still don?t understand.
It?s written in a dusty book., written by ancient man.
Trying as they might, to win you on their side.
Soon you?ll see just what I mean when they find you don?t comply.
Just take my word you?ll see. Their words will cut you down.
With each verse I feel the sting.
I can feel it in my soul, the pain inflicted upon me.
It?s always just the same, Yet I turn the other cheek.
It?s more than I can stand.
Does the world need more of these.
Mindless mutants of lesser life made this world just as you see.
We must rise above their hatred that they?re blinded not to see.
Candy coated chunks ofsugar is what they seem to be.
The followers of Lucifer ,they like to talk him down.
Yet they know not what they do as they snuggle at his feet.
They dance like righteous puppets as he pulls their silver strings.
You?ll often hear them ask you, do you fear god just like me?
Not knowing what their saying, their much to blind to see.
Their worshiping the Devil
I?m so glad it?s them and not me.
It is refreshing to find a site that believers in Christ are speaking their love for him. I am just a little sad to see there has been no new postings for a month. Hung like a horse I think you should learn some manners, and I will also be praying for your soul. Take care and God Bless,
I would not call myself a christian, I would however say spiritual. I am inclined to agree with Dave 337 that religion is the major cause of wars that and greed. However we should all respect each others beliefs and hung like a horse. you should be ashamed of your self. I think if you have any deceny in you at all that you will appoligise to these people. I aslo believe in what goes a round comes around, so look out.
